Café Freedom increases awareness on literacy

This past Tuesday, Club Café Freedom set out to accomplish their first big task, make the community aware of literacy issues in the community. Attendees included parents, elementary students, teachers, and school district officials.

“The project that it’s adopted and is going to continue is the ‘I feel the need to read literacy project’.” Founder Blake O’Connor said.

O’Connor says the main goal was to create year-long service projects.
